Jake sighed as he stepped out of the shower and began to brush his teeth. It felt so weird to be here and not in the house he had lived in for almost nineteen years. What a way to go, especially after turning nineteen. His father kicked him out and that was putting it nicely. Sure he could of moved out on his own, but honestly Jake was like the king of procrastination it was actually a miracle that he was even a college student, let alone able to get an apartment that same day his father so graciously through him out.
It had only been a couple months but he really didn't feel like he belonged here. He really wasn't that social which lucky for him and the career he decided to take, required tons of time to study. He ran his fingers through his drying dark blondish hair. Stepping into his closet he grab his clothes. He felt like going for a run that morning. Sure he had gone to the gym and what not but he hadn't gone for a run outside.
Twenty minutes later he was grabbing the keys to his apartment and slipped the ear phones into his ears before stretching a bit and taking off for a run. Only to turn around and run up the stairs leading into his apartment. How could he run on an empty stomach. When his thoughts were not on studying there were some what revolved around food. One would think he would be fat and lazy, but this blonde boy was far from it. It was sad how he didn't even have to try. After a couple of minutes the bagels he had placed in his toaster were finally crispy and golden brown.
He grabbed the tub of cream cheese and slathered someone on the bagel, putting everything away and grabbing his bagel and walking out the door. Where was he headed? Even he didn't know, but maybe a little sight see him would do him some good. Of course the bad thing about his run was that he would always be off thinking about what ever popped into his head. At least it wouldn't be his stomach growling. He thought as he continued to devour his bagel.
Who knows how long he had been running, long enough to reach the park. He looked up just in time to avoid colliding with a girl that had stopped right near the playground. He frowned slightly and shook his head apologizing before he picked up his pace and then quickly slowed down near a picnic table. Someone else was there but he wasn't sure whether he should leave or wait for them to leave. Usually people didn't stick around for long. He knew how people were when their territory was entered on."Sorry. Didn't know anyone had claimed the table."He said with a sort of forced smile, not looking at the girl but at the kids playing. Remembering what it was like to be that age and carefree.

Noelle sighed as she made her fifteenth round around the park just watching unfamiliar kids climb upon the playground. Occasionally she would sit down in the grass or maybe on a bench but eventually her legs would grow bored and she would begin her ritual walk around the playground once more. She must’ve looked stupid passing by the same people over and over again just watching a kid drop from the monkey bars then a mother rushing over to tend the wound. Elle would laugh then move on, not daring to make eye contact with anyone, yet she knew people were watching her. They were always watching her now that she had encircled the area more than a dozen times.
However, Noelle wouldn’t be doing this right now if she and her mother had gotten into a fight earlier this morning. Elle was just minding her own business when her mother came barging through the door in a rush. She was late for work and she was definitely cranky. She immediately gave Noelle the whole ‘im late for work so don’t bother me’ speech and like always, Elle ignored her which, in turn, set the frantic woman off and there she went; kicking Noelle out of the house and screaming at her to ‘get some fresh air’ and ‘get out of the house’ but she knew that her mother only meant to get a life seeing that she had nothing better to do outside of her room.
Noelle never wanted to get out. She was content with listening to music and surfing the web, but without a set of apartment keys, Noelle had to wait for her mother to come home- which would probably be around five o’clock or so. And looking at her watch, Noelle groaned to find that it was only 10:00 AM. Lovely.
Thus, here she was at the park, hoping to find something interesting. Unfortunately, the only thing interesting around there was a kid stepping in a large pile of dog poop.
Sighing, Noelle began to tire once again. Maybe her mom was right. She needed some exercise, but she was too lazy to do anything about it. She glanced up to find a girl and a boy at a picnic table and with her approach, the girl got up and left to leave an open spot, ready for domination. With a smile, Noelle sat down and continued her watch on the playground. ”You know, if you’re looking for some kid to rape, I don’t think this would be a good place to look.” She laughed, turning her gaze onto the stranger. He looked a few years older than she and he seemed like a pretty serious looking guy. A combination like that and a comment from Elle usually resulted in a pretty hilarious response. Maybe Noelle can even get this guy to go away and leave the table all to herself. That would be good, until, of course, she’d have to leave to walk around the park once again.

Jake's face fell back into an emotionless slate as he turned his attention to his watch. It was only four minutes past ten. Jake was never good with time. He was always way to early or way to late. Every second, minute, and hour seemed to be the same to him. Time was slow or maybe it was fast but to him it moved slowly. Whatever the case, Jake could not be left any where without knowing the time. He made his efforts to arrive on time for the most important things. Like class for example. There were days he would arrive to his class a bit to early and he would just sit and study, waiting for the class to begin. It was hard to believe he could procrastinate at all. But unfortunately he did.
The should of the picnic table creak under someone's weight caused him to tear his gaze from the children to the person who was sitting there now. It seemed like he picked the wrong day to go out for a run. It was not because of the people here but what came out of the blonde girl's mouth. Jake frowned, never in his whole nineteen years he had lived here had he heard anyone say something like that to her. Though he couldn't help but chuckle softly."I'm guessing your telling me this from your past experiences, with wanting to rape little kids in this playground."He said quietly before looking at the blonde. Yes, nineteen years and it seemed like he had been living here far less then that. He was so bad with names and faces. Though the girl seemed far to young for him to remember anyways."Hasn't anyone told you not to talk with strangers, little girl?"He asked her with a bit for a tired sigh.
Jake wasn't one for conversations, but then again he would socialize. Against his will more or less. But he began to ponder staying here with the child raping girl or just leave. It was not like he was obligated to stick around. After all its not like he knew this girl."Oh, and just so we are clear. I don't rape kids or anyone for that matter."Jake was bad with humor. Sure he laughed and what not, but come back with snappy but hilarious comebacks were not his thing. He probably could of if he tried, but then again who was he trying to impress? This little girl? Not a chance, he wasn't her to impress anyone or to be anyone's entertainment.

Noelle couldn’t help but laugh at his response. ”hah! You really think a sixteen year old like me would want to rape a kid? Why would I want to do that?” Elle had neither a boyfriend nor any guy friends in that matter except for Damien that she could take interest in and it wasn’t like she wasn’t happy so she couldn’t think of one reason that she, of all people, would want to take advantage of a little boy. It didn’t make sense, unless Noelle went crazy one day. Then it might be a possibility. She chuckled once again, but her amusement was cut short as he called her a ‘little girl’.
”Hey! I’m not a little girl. Just cause you’re a guy and a few years older than me, doesn’t mean you can call me little.” Elle hissed, glaring at him angrily. She hated being belittled even if it was just a joke. She was anything but little and everyone who had ever met her knew it. She had smoked before, tried drugs before and even gotten drunk before, but she wasn’t hooked. Noelle had chosen not to go down that path for she knew that all it resulted in are jerk-faced adults who think they know everything about this world, and eventually they end up killing someone. Thus, Noelle knew better than to continue with any harmful substances. Yet that was beside the fact. Noelle was definitely not a little girl and if this guy wanted to, Elle could definitely show it.
However, the anger in her eyes disappeared as she broke out into a laughing fit at his retort from her earlier comment. She could see that he takes things pretty seriously. What luck! Noelle could have a lot a fun with this guy. A devious little grin spread wide across her face as she nodded, holding back a well-kept giggle-fit. ”Yeah yeah. Sure, dude. You look too much like a mama’s boy anyway.” She exclaimed, referring to his feeble come back, a smile stretching from cheek to cheek. She hoped to push him enough to start yelling.

Jake grimaces slightly after hearing how old she was. Sure not everyone who was sixteen acted like this. He was sure when he was that age he was no where near how this girl acted, but that didn't mean that he didn't cause trouble. As funny as that sounded, Jake was a bit of a trouble maker. Hard to believe, he knows. But his mouth couldn't keep shut. Its not like he went out of his way to get in to trouble.
He chuckled softly hearing how the sixteen year old responded to him about being called a little girl. Who would of thought something simple as being called little girl would offend the blonde."If you would prefer I could call you little boy. Or you could just tell me your name Miss I'm Sixteen years old."He told her with a shrug."Besides, who told you to come talk to me. You can't expect me to know everyone's name here."He told her with a sigh. This conversation was starting to be a bit long for him. The only time his conversations were more then one sentence was when he was at school or actually talking to someone he knew, a family member or a family friend. He wasn't that social, and it wasn't that he was socially awkward. He could talk for hours, just not with people he didn't want to talk to or he didn't like. It was a miracle he was talking to this girl at all."Aren't you suppose to be in school. Its only Thursday. The weekend is not that far away."He told her with curiosity, wanting to know why in the world the only sixteen year old in the park was not at school.
It didn't come to him as a surprise to him at all when she uttered the words momma's boy to him. He couldn't say it was true, but then again when he tried telling her what the truth was he was totally ignored. It was like fighting with a little child. Except for that fact that he really wasn't fighting at all. He hoped not all conversations he would be forced into would enc up or at least start like this one did. Of course he didn't think what he would say, since the words were already spilling out of his mouth."Not as much as you look like a spoiled......w....daddy's girl."Yes, he did pause, it was more or less to be polite, though these days what girl didn't go around dressing like a whore. He wouldn't be surprised if he actually went though with his sentence and have her thank him for the compliment.

Truthfully, Noelle seriously would have rather been called a boy. She hated being the girly self she was, especially with the monthly gift and all the things her mother expected her to be- which of course she defied. Her mother expected her to play with dolls. Instead, Noelle played with her guitar and trading cards. Her mother expected her to style her hair differently every day. However, Noelle never did. She kept her hair down knowing that it was too much of a hassle to pull it up or curl it or straighten it. Her mother expected her to put on make up, yet Elle wore little to no make up unless it was a special occasion. Noelle tried her best to be a boy especially with her slightly shredded t-shirt and scratchy blue jeans. She dressed more like a little boy than a teenage girl. All she had now to prove her real gender where certain sexual areas and boobs.
Noelle grunted and folded her arms, looking at him with a stern, defiant look. ”The name’s Noelle Parks. And you, Mr. I’malittlemama’sboy?” She grunted again before looking back at the kids playing on the playground. A sigh forming but was stopped as the nineteen year old ask about her doing here. ”Pfft. I’m just expressing my freedom of speech.” It was true, Elle was quite the chatterbox. She liked talking, yet was seldom allowed to do it. Many people would have walked away by now, but Noelle didn’t care. She’d been a loner for sixteen years. Silence was not a new concept to her. Noelle would simply think to herself and sometimes even talk to herself. If it really got so quiet, she would run through music in her head until she memorized each chord, each note and each tune that pertained to the residing music in her head. Then, she would go crazy and definitely start talking to herself; just asking herself questions and going over her day as if she was talking to some psychiatrist who bugged her to explain her day, and just like a shrink, the little voice in her head would answer back in clear thoughts. Crazy? A little bit. But doesn’t everyone have those kinds of moments?
Her train of thought was stopped as his question about school came up. It was true. It was Thursday and no where to be found were kids her age. Maybe that’s why her day had dribbled off to be so boring. So she answered, ”I just moved here about a week ago. I’ve been stalling my mom from signing me up at the high school. Besides, I would be here whether or not I had school yet.” Noelle would have probably ditched school seeing that it was still her first few days in this town. It would be her ‘welcoming gift’ to herself. Besides, she deserved it! However, Noelle is a pretty good student, despite her rebellious nature. She has always had straight A’s and she knows all the material. The fact is, she just missed a few days- is all. A brilliant student like her needs a break from time to time and Noelle is always obliged to take that break.
Suddenly, the amusement in the girl’s eyes disappeared; replaced by a dark cloud, hazing over her once-glimmering dark brown eyes. The word ‘daddy’ had come up. Never in her life had anyone really put her together with that word and neither had she ever been called a Daddy’s girl. Back in her hometown, almost everyone knew the history of her family and dare not touch one of Noelle’s nerves in mentioning it. Her mother had warned everyone about it, yet Noelle could see that she hadn’t made her round about this town yet.
Noelle sighed, all her confidence suddenly evaporated from her being. She looked away and licked her lips, falling into a sense of deep thought. Her father had died when she was four. Everyone knew it back in her neighborhood, for it was a delicate subject that Noelle seldom took lightly. She still hadn’t gotten over it and there was a chance she never would. Her eyes traveled away and she sighed once more. Her arms dropped down below the table as she began picking at the edge of her one-size-too-large shirt which was a habit she had whenever she was sad, angry or nervous- two of which pertained to her current being. She didn’t want to talk anymore. ”…no…” Elle managed to murmur. She shook her head slightly, blond hair falling over her face, as she tried to push away the mental pain running through her head. She forced herself to look back at the stranger with a presentable composure, but truly, Noelle wasn’t really there. Her mind resided elsewhere, shielded only by her well developed poker face.

Jake wondered what it would be like to be able to read the thoughts of others. It would get so many questions out of the way, but of course there was also things that you would never want to know. Of course invading someone's privacy was something he would never do, of course this mind reading was only a thought. How people would get offended with all the thoughts that ran through his head. It was a miracle that he had people he called friends or acquaintances at all.
He snapped out of his silly thoughts and watched the girl cross her arms and look at him like he just said the most awfullest thing ever. Which in this case he probably did. He let another laugh escape his throat as she had begun to introduce herself."Mr. I’malittlemama’sboy."He stated before shaking his head when she muttered something about expressing her freedom of speech."Hey I didn't say anything about revoking your freedom of speech. Its not like I duct taped your mouth shut or something. Talk away."He told her with another small laugh."Jake Davis, I guess I can say its nice to meet you."Jake said with a small smile sticking his hand out towards her."Oh, your new here. Well..welcome to Brookside, I guess."He said with a shrug. He really didn't see what was so great about this town. Sure he had his reasons for hating this town, but then again only small minded people loved living in small towns. As soon as he could he would make a run for it.
He arched an eyebrow and laughed. Most teens he knew they would rather be at school, not to study but to socialize with their friends. Talk about what or who was cute and what not. He frowned at the thought about going back to that pool of shallowness that is high school. Sure he fit in with almost everyone and then with no one. He wasn't that social, but when he was you could be sure that he was never left alone. Sure everyone was curious especially when new people come to town. People here were not interested in the people but tin the gossip or rumors that could be spread. How he loathed all those fake people in high school. Waiting for the chance to stab you in the back but still muster the guiltless feelings to lie in your face. He was glad that that part of his life was over. Though he couldn't help but feel like it was still going on.
Again his thoughts were interrupted when he managed to catch a glimpse of her expression once he had said is miserable come back. She got offended when he called her a little girl. Was calling her a spoiled daddy's girl worse? He asked himself as he couldn't help but stare. He wasn't dense despite his lack of restraint with his bluntness. He watched her as her hands fell down and she began to pick at her shirt, a shirt that seemed a bit big on her. He wasn't dumb, he was sure his last sentences that fell out of his mouth was the cause of this. When Noelle spoke. She spoke like her life depended on it, it was full of enthusiasm and now it was quiet. From the couple of minutes that he had been talking with Parks, he at least knew that she was anything but quiet.
He let his arms fall to his side before sighing just like she had before. Watching her shake her head after she muttered that no."I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you in anyway."He told her sincerely. Despite his bluntness, he really didn't like seeing anyone hurt or sad. He wouldn't go out of his way to cause someone some sort of pain, it wasn't like him and people that knew him could tell you the same thing. It was obvious it affected her. But in what way, he wasn't nosy enough to ask. He liked his privacy and was pretty sure everyone else liked their privacy as well.

With a sigh, Noelle eyed the now named, Jake Davis as she watched his words flow from his mouth. At the same time, she tried to collect herself, centering every sad feeling and quickly tucking it to the side before letting out another deep sigh- as if it would release all the pent up pressure in her head. She had to eventually get over this. She hated reacting like she had just done just because someone said the word ‘daddy’. It made her feel like a spineless jelly fish and that was the total opposite of what Elle stood for. With a gulp, she proceeded to shake his hand with a firm grip. Noelle was not going to act like her mom now. No she just couldn’t. ”Thanks, I guess.” She murmured referring to both his welcome and apology. Another rather forceful smile appeared on her face which after a few moments of mental screaming in her head, turned into a wide grin. Noelle was back.
”Hmm... so enough interrogating the ‘little girl’,” the sixteen year old smirked, pulling her hands up from the depths of the table to rest in a tight fist on top of the table. ”What are you doing here at the park? Not raping kids. Not smoking weed. So what would the reason be?” Noelle knew that even in a public park like this, people did drugs, had sex and even paraded around naked if they wanted to. Of course, if they got caught, they were dead, yet many people got away with it. It was the same for schools and Elle definitely noticed. More than once had she felt the need to turn them in just to see their drug induced faces contorted into a scared, desperate expression from the removal of their precious products. Yet Noelle was all for freedom to do whatever you want- whether it was to ruin your life or kill yourself off completely. She didn’t care what they did. If they died, it was their fault, not hers for not stopping them. Besides, it was much more fun to see them make idiots of themselves.

Jake couldn't help but look at his watch once more. It was not like he had to be some where, but you people do pretty weird things when they are anxious. For some reason Jake was all about knowing what time it was. He heard her speak once more. She was thanking him for what he had said."Yeah, your welcome."He told her with a nod.
It was kind of quiet, all that could be heard was the sound of the children playing and the mother's yelling at them. He turned his attention back to her when she said something about interrogating the little girl."What little girl?"He said a small smile on his lips."Why so interesting in what I'm doing here? But I guess since i interrogated you, I could answer you questions."he told while he ran his fingers through his messy hair."If you haven't guessed yet. I went out for a bit of a run. Not out looking for a kid to rape. Just running."He told her with a nod."Are you done interrogating me? Or are there more questions you want an answer to?"His blue eyes glancing at her as he said this.

Noelle watched his lips move, her mind now moving away from the conversation as she began zoning out like the typical little teenager she was. Yet, elle quickly snapped back as he asked if she was done interrogating him. ”Hey hey, you asked me questions and I’m just asking them in turn.” A wide grin spread across her face as a laugh echoed from her. ”And you can drop the rape thing. I was only kidding! If you were here to rape kids- which you obviously aren’t- then you probably wouldda raped me by now.” Noelle winked, failing to hold back a flurry of laughter once again. Yeah right. As if any guy would rape her. Elle wasn’t the prettiest person in the world nor did she dress it. Often in jeans and a t-shirt, she wasn’t exactly the type of girl a guy would aim for first let alone approach. She always held a sort of fierce, ‘too cool’ kind of look that either said punk or jail bird and Noelle could pretty much fit into either. Maybe it was that blond hair that guys could always look for and the fact that she was alone. It was the perfect rape situation.
”Well as long as we’re on the subject of rape and the fact that the sun is still up, would you rape me if you had the chance?” Noelle raised a golden eyebrow, licking her lips in a seductive way as she leaned toward him. She put on her best ‘im-horny-take-me-now' kind of look, hoping to get a good reaction from this timid guy. Maybe it’d spook him, or freak him out or maybe even cause him to run away screaming. Who knows!

Jake just sighed and shook his head."Okay okay. Its not like I wasn't going to answer your questions, Parker. I didn't know this was some sort of game of Twenty questions"He told her with a shake of his head when she began to ask her questions of rape."Yeah of course you would. But I'm not sure you were kidding about you scoping out kids to rape."He told her with a nod. Times were different, and how could he be sure they she wasn't some wild teenage rapist. In this town, things like that would be to hard to conceal."If we are talking about kids. Then no. You said it yourself your sixteen years old."He told her sneer.
Jake had now begun to ask himself how he had gotten himself into this conversation with Noelle. He next question caught him off guard and it took him a while to process what she had just said. He looked at her lick her lips. He moved his hand and softly tucked a lock of her blond hair behind her ear, moving closer to her."Its not rape if your asking for it. So are you asking for it."He asked her jokingly as he let his hand fall away from her face, leaning back to where he was before. Of course a joke coming from him didn't sound like a joke, it sounded like he was being serious.

Noelle couldn’t help but smile wildly at his reply. She folded her arms, raising an eyebrow once again. ”Hmm, well then,” Elle mused, grinning from ear to ear. ”I guess I am asking for it. And you must be a rapist for taking that chance and asking me such a question!” She laughed once again, throwing her hair back so it messily fell like a golden wave around her face. Seldom did Noelle ever fix her hair. She thought it was pretty much pointless unless she was bored. Only then would her hair serve as a form of entertainment. Yet almost always, she kept it down and usually just tucked it behind her ears or threw it behind her shoulder to keep it out of the way.
Her eyes searched his, only to find amusement in them as well. The day seemed to go much better than she planned, thankfully. She slowly set her arms on the table and looked at the boy once again with that same deviously curious look set on her face. She wanted to see how much she could push this guy, to see if he would seriously go on and kiss her or run away screaming. Either one would definitely make her day especially after rounding the park a few times already. Noelle was not ready to start that up again once this guy left. Maybe a frantic exit would keep her laughing until the sun went down. That was her plan.
”Well Mr.Idon’trapekids, I’m asking for it. Whatcha gonna do about it?”
She cocked that familiar eyebrow once again, and in turn, she leaned forward with challenge flashing in her eyes. Was he seriously going to answer that? Noelle tried her best to keep herself from laughing. She put on that face as easily as a poker face, this time adding a groan for effect. Of course, the people around her looked and turned, yet it didn’t stop her. It only amused her. There, she licked her lips once again, leaning a bit closer across the table. It wasn’t far, yet close enough that their faces were only a few inches apart; hers upturned to his as she waited for his response. [/blockquote]

Jake couldn't help but shake his head. To think a rapist would actually sit and talk to his victim and in broad day light none the less."I doubt, a rapist would be sitting here to so patiently, talking to his future victims. You calling me a rapist. That's funny, to think you are the one willing to get raped."He smirked at her, it seemed like she was enjoying this a bit too much. Jake really had no idea how long he was willing to take this. Sure they were only three years apart, but still Jake wasn't that kind of guy.
It seemed like they had been staring at each other for hours. He could sense her moving closer. Despite that he remained where he was. He couldn't help but laugh at her comment and watched her cock her eyebrow."Do you always ask strangers to kiss you?"He asked her with another smirk before leaning towards her."If this is what you do for fun, I'd hate to see what you do when your bored, Miss Parker."Jake said hearing her groan and watching all the people turn around to look at them. With that he placed his hand softly on the nape of her neck and kissed her cheek. She wasn't going to get what she wanted from Jake that easily. After all a kiss was a kiss, she really didn't specify what kind of kiss she wanted after all.
He couldn't help but chuckle softly, debating whether or not he should give her what she wanted. At the last minute he had changed his mind that was why he only kissed her on the cheek. He figured she would end up saying something or doing something. Especially since what he did was probably not what she expected.

”Well… you’re right about that.” Noelle grunted with a slight frown. She had never met a rapist who actually started up a conversation with their victim especially about raping that very person. Yet she had actually been in a sort of rape position. Luckily, she got away from that situation by kicking the man in a very private area before running off. The police were on her speed dial- placed there by her mother(seeing how many times Noelle had been whisked off by the police before)- and were there to ‘rescue’ her in seconds. The man was left sprawling along the floor when they came to handcuff in and Elle couldn’t help but laugh at him for even trying. Besides, if he had run after her, she would’ve whipped his butt seeing that she was a black belt in tae kwan do- something she was quite proud of.
Elle echoed his laughter as he made a second comment. ”Not always. It’s kind of a hobby. Just something to fill the time.” She joked, grinning wildly once again. It was somewhat true if you ever saw her around her old town. Elle had practically kissed every boy in her neighborhood at one point or another but never making any of them her boyfriend. It was usually a dare, or just for fun and it seldom resulted in anything more than a bit of touching. And boy did it piss off her mom whenever Noelle brought another one of her scruffy guy-friends home just to make out a bit in the living room before he’d leave. Yeah, I guess you could call her a whore, but it wasn’t like she was out getting pregnant. Elle just loved to flirt- is all.
Noelle slightly shivered at his touch as she watched him carefully. It had been a while since someone had gotten this close to her since the move and truthfully she missed it. She closed her eyes slightly, expecting some lip-to-lip action, yet smirked as he kissed her on the cheek. Elle knew a guy like him just wouldn’t give in to her that easily. He looked too soft- not the type of hard core –horny- teen that she usually found out on the street. Adding to that, he looked much closer to becoming an adult than staying a teen.
The sixteen year old rolled her eyes and straightened up her posture as well as her wrinkled clothing- some obsessive OCD kind of thing she did, before opening her mouth to speak once again. ”You’re no fun, Mr. Davis. Not fun at all.” Elle grunted, folding her arms once again before leaning back, only to frown at the fact that there was nothing behind her to lean on. She was way too use to the school chairs. Yet it didn’t keep her from folding her legs and leaning back in a sort of laid back, bored position.
